Position Overview
The manufacturing Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring quality performance of our manufacturing facility in Wood Dale, IL. Key responsibilities include manufacturing process controls and risk management, processing customer requests that may impact quality conformance, coordinating and controlling product changes, establishing processes and systems to ensure customer product requirements are met.
The ideal candidate has a good blend of manufacturing, technical and interpersonal skills to ensure product and processes associated with our manufacturing outputs are conforming to specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal business objectives.

Position Overview

Main Responsibilities
- Customer Corrective Actions, Internal Corrective Actions, Supplier Corrective Actions.
- Customer Liaison and first point of escalation for customer issues.
- KPI management: Cost of Poor Quality, PPM.
- AIAG Core Tools Leadership: PPAP, PFMEA.
- Inspection Compliance, Deviations, Quality Alerts, SPC.
- Support Internal Audits, Control LPA and Product Audits.
- QMS Management Review.
- Quality Support of our APQP and product/process changes.
- Collaborate with our Distribution Centers to ensure compliance to quality processes.
The ideal candidate must have the following competencies:

- IATF Internal or Lead Auditor highly preferred
- AIAG Core Tools: PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA
- Automotive Manufacturing or Distribution Experience
- 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Field. Mechanical or Industrial Engineering highly preferred
- Isnpection, Metrology, Metallurgical Analysis Interpretation.
- GD&T, Print Review, Understanding and interpretation of engineering specifications (IFI, ASME, etc). Fastener experience highly preferred.
- Lean and Six Sigma experience preferred.
