Position Overview:
The Sourcing Project Analyst will be responsible for analyzing part run out information, creating purchase orders, tracking sample and production deliveries, reporting on progress and completion of resourced parts, answering vendor questions and providing them with additional order documentation as needed. The successful candidate for this position has experience in the manufacturing and/or fastener industry and a strong understanding of supply chain management concepts.
Main Responsibilities:
The Sourcing Project Analyst will be responsible for the following elements of Sourcing related projects:
- Complete all tasks assigned within a program, to achieve project milestone and deliverables.
- Effectively communicate project updates to team members in a timely and clear fashion.
- Estimate the resources needed to achieve project goals within the transition remit.
- Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company to resolve challenges or action items.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- More specifically:
- Initial Customer quality requirement assessment and close out of approval to resource.
- Sample PO placement and order acknowledgement.
- Collaboration with the supply base, to monitor all stages of production planning and execution.
- Expediting sample and quality documentation to program timing.
- Driving Internal/External approval process in line with specific Customer requirements.
- PIPO at SKU level to achieve implementation of savings ahead of schedule.
- Close out internal system updates to ensure data accuracy and document formal hand over process to the Optimas Supply Chain team.
- Problem resolution and escalation.
- Other relevant tasks and duties.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering related field
• 3 years experience as a buyer in industrial/manufacturing environment
• Supplier relationship and contract management experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Organized, self-starter with ability to multi-task
• Project Management and/or Lean Six Sigma experience preferred

- NetSuite Experience a Plus
