Position Overview

As a Sales Engineer at OptiMIM, you'll be responsible for generating leads and building a robust sales pipeline by winning new business with both existing and new accounts. You will collaborate with engineering teams to understand customer needs and provide tailored MIM solutions to solve complex manufacturing problems. This role is perfect for someone who excels at networking, developing relationships, and using consultative sales techniques to educate customers on how OptiMIM can meet their specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Generate interest in the OptiMIM brand and identify sales opportunities through networking, trade shows, webinars, and prospecting.
  • Drive significant sales revenue growth by winning new business opportunities with both existing and new customers.
  • Establish strong business relationships with key stakeholders in target accounts, identifying their needs and presenting OptiMIM's capabilities as solutions.
  • Use consultative selling to educate customers about the benefits of MIM technology, and provide insights into their industry and business needs.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline, including new account opportunities, RFQs, and customer communications.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met and effectively translate project details into successful outcomes.

Education, Skills, and Attributes :

  • 2 years of prior sales or account management experience. Experience in a technical or engineering field is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Previous experience in the MIM industry or a solid understanding of tooling, component design, and metal manufacturing is beneficial.
  • A "hunter" mentality : Proven track record of finding, developing, and closing new business.
  • Excellent communication skills : Ability to present complex concepts clearly, both in writing and verbally.
  • Strong influencing skills : Ability to appeal to both rational and emotional drivers to guide customers toward OptiMIM's solutions.
  • Proven networking abilities : Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to gain consensus and move deals forward.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet customer stakeholders.
