Key responsibilities include:
- Defines the overall data vision, including the development of data governance policies and the identification of trusted sources. Creates a roadmap for data analysis initiatives, tools, and technologies.
- Establishes the framework to collect, analyze, and transform complex data into actionable insights focused on enhancing safety, reliability, customer service, and operational effectiveness. Enacts policies, standards, and processes to ensure data accessibility, integrity, and security.
- Partners with leaders across the enterprise to capture existing needs and uncover opportunities. Leverages data to support efforts in continuous improvement and innovation, informing both long-term operational strategy and short-term tactical decision making.
- Develops and executes a plan to maximize self-service, real-time data access and capabilities. Leads efforts to enhance stakeholder data literacy and promote a data-centric business model.
- Utilizes advanced analytical techniques like machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis to uncover deeper business insights. Develops and implements best practices to optimize performance and enable robust analytics.
- Develops and monitors functional area budget to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Oversee and review the achievement of area goals and objectives within established company policies.
- Maintains adequate staffing levels to ensure proper administration of activities. Selects, develops, motivates and evaluates the performance of assigned employees.
- Initial focus will be on learning the business and building relationships with the Division Presidents and key leadership.
Educational Level
- 15 years’ experience with at least 8 in data strategy, strategic planning and data analytics
