We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist to join our procurement team at OPD at our Katy office. The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for identifying and procuring the structural steel required for our projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. This role requires being sensitive to the project timelines and milestones and proactively identifying any orders or deliveries that may not meet the schedule demands.

Our Sourcing team closely partners with field construction and engineering to ensure that materials are ordered and delivered per the client and engineering specification. This role is critical to OPD achieving project milestones and mechanical completion.

What You Will Do
- Review contracts, terms and confirm pricing with suppliers to practice cost savings initiatives.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Monitor supplier order updates and address any issues related to delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, purchase orders, and supplier communications.
- Follow Koch standards and best practices related to sourcing materials.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills (written and verbal) in a matrixed organization.
- Intermediate level use of Microsoft Office 365- specifically Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Able to execute on competing priorities.
- Past experience working an ERP system such as Infor LN, SAP, Salesforce.
- Be able to function in a fast paced and ambiguous environment.
- Familiar with writing purchase orders.
