What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Optimum Care (Urgent Care)?
We are looking for a full-time or part-time Medical Receptionist for Saturdays and Sundays (required) and 2 weekdays to join our team of friendly and considerate Physicians, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistants and LPNs who will engage directly with our patients and be the face of our business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Checking in patients and properly documenting registration.
- Working at the reception desk, answering phones, greeting and communicating with patients, clinical staff, and Providers.
- Verifying insurance and other pertinent patient information.
- Collecting co-pays and payments from patients.
- Entering charges and payments into the software system.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENT
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- At least one year of medical receptionist experience at a medical office or urgent care is required.
- Willingness to work every weekend, and holidays.
- Willingness to work one or two days during the weekdays when needed
- We favor applicants who are flexible, friendly, bilingual in English and Spanish , and are willing to help with all matters around the office.
