You will work closely with individuals in their homes and communities, offer assistance with activities of daily living, promote independence, and ensure individuals' continued physical and psychological safety and well-being.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist individual with ADLs, including personal care, meal preparation, shopping, and household chores.
- Support individual in developing and participating in community activities while successfully managing unhelpful behaviors.
- Implement individualized support plan and document progress and outcomes.
- Administer medications and provide basic healthcare support as needed, such as transportation to medical appointments.
- Ensure a safe, clean living environment for the individual.
- Advocate for the individual’s needs and rights in community and other settings.
QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED)
- 1 year experience in psychiatric care or behavioral care highly preferred.
- RBT certification or 1 year prior experience as a RBT, BT, or other behavioral care staff highly preferred.
- 1 year experience working with individuals with psychiatric and/or developmental and intellectual disabilities highly preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Vehicle with minimum insurance required.
- Clean driving record, as verified with a DMV records check.
- Able to pass DOJ/FBI LiveScan background check.
- CPR and First Aid Certificate(s) required.
- Negative TB test result from within the past year, or willingness to obtain.
- Completion of online provider trainings upon hire.
