A key Optimus client, a global energy trading company specializing in the physical and financial markets, optimizing logistics and risk management to support efficient and strategic commodity flows are seeking a Trade Accountant. What You’ll Be Doing
✅ Master of the Ledger – Keep track of goods movement, inventory, and costs like a financial detective.
✅ Invoice Wizardry – Ensure timely and accurate invoicing for commodities, broker fees, and transportation charges.
✅ Risk Buster – Identify and resolve complex trade queries, ensuring smooth cash flow.
✅ Derivatives Dynamo – Handle derivatives accounting and ensure accurate trade reporting.
✅ Pipeline Pro – Work with Colonial Pipeline transactions and ensure smooth financial tracking.
✅ SAP Expert – Must know how to enter codes into SAP (no time for training on this one!).
✅ Data Guardian – Work closely with the Finance and Risk teams, providing insights for key reporting and forecasting.
✅ Relationship Builder – Collaborate with teams across Trading, Legal, Credit, and Accounting to keep everything running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
📊 3-7 years of experience as a commodity trade floor accountant in a fast-paced environment (commodity trading experience needed).
💻 SAP pro – Must know how to enter codes into the system (this is non-negotiable).
🚛 Colonial Pipeline experience needed.
💡 Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
📈 Ability to think critically, make sound business judgments, and keep an eye on the details.
🗣️ (Spanish is a plus!)
