Trade Analyst

A leading energy client located in Florida is seeking a Trading Analyst with strong analytical skills and technical acumen to support market strategies, optimize trading models, and enhance decision-making. This role is ideal for a motivated individual eager to grow their expertise in energy markets while contributing to daily operations and long-term trading strategies.

NOTE: Our client is located in Florida and candidates must be willing to be in the office to be considered. Some relocation assistance may be available.

What You'll Do

• Market Strategy & Analysis: Develop and implement low-risk trading strategies to optimize trading outcomes across power and gas markets.
• Optimization Modeling: Manage and refine optimization models to improve decision-making processes and maximize profitability.
• Support Daily Trading Decisions: Assist with real-time trading decisions by analyzing market trends, client needs, and portfolio risk exposure.
• Reporting & Automation:
• Automate daily trading reports to specific clients and internal teams.
• Analyze trading data to understand the underlying factors driving market movements.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process automation and reporting enhancement to drive efficiency in trading operations.
  

What You Bring

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or similar discipline with demonstrated academic excellence. Energy internship is a plus.OR2 years proven experience in a commodities trading environment. Master's degree is a plus.
• Skills & Experience:

• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Experience or knowledge of Python, R, SQL, or similar tools is a plus.
• Attention to detail and strong ability to follow structured processes.
• Market Knowledge: A basic understanding of energy markets with a desire to learn and deepen expertise.
• Diversity of Thought: Ability to approach complex problems with diverse perspectives, combining finance, analytics, and technical capabilities.
• Adaptability & Growth: Passion for continuous learning and improvement in a dynamic, fast-paced, challenging trading environment where kindness and teamwork are highly valued.
