What are the responsibilities and job description for the AV/Multimedia Engineer position at Optimus Technology, Inc.?
The AV / MM Engineer provides design, installation and maintenance of Audio-Visual / Multimedia (AV / MM) systems. The AV / MM Engineer is also responsible for the programming and configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational AV / MM systems.
- U) Analog, SDI and HD SDI signal processing and conversion
- U) Digital video filtering and scalable video coding
- U) Compression and decompression techniques
- U) Encoding and decoding of television standards such as ATSC, QAM, NTSC, PAL
- U) Signal theory and analysis
- U) Audio processing
- U) Sound reinforcement and speaker placement
- U) Sightlines, screen size and projection distances
- U) AES / EBU or AES3 digital audio interlace standards
- U) Cable termination (Fiber, copper, audio, etc.)
- U) Set-up and maintenance of various HD / SD broadcast equipment
- U) Integration of audio and video teleconferencing systems
- U) Set-up of digital video effects systems
- U) Operation and set-up of various production switchers
- U) Operation and maintenance of audio mixers
- U) Integration of wired / wireless microphone systems and configurations
- U) Design and installation of audio support systems
- U) System integration
- U) Custom fabrication of parts and cables
- U) Installation of low voltage wiring and cable; soldering and termination of connectors; wiring of equipment
