Job Summary:
Our client is actively seeking a Business Analyst to join a dynamic project team focusing on diverse aspects of the back office operations in the energy trading industry. As a crucial team member, you will leverage your expertise in back office processes, to facilitate the successful implementation of solutions that align with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with back office operations teams, finance, IT, and management to collect and document comprehensive business requirements.
- Develop and articulate functional specifications to guide solution development.
- Analyze transactional data and financial reports to ensure the proper functioning of solutions and alignment with expectations.
- Act as a liaison between project team members and operations, finance, and IT departments to ensure requirements meet business needs.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams and operations and business units.
- Develop a deep understanding and proficiency with the selected system solution.
- Assist in the development of test cases and collaborate with users to perform user acceptance testing.
- Provide ongoing support through training, implementation, and the early life support of solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in the energy trading industry. MUST have ETRM Experience.
- Exposure to major third-party back office software such as Allegro, RightAngle, or Endur.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Subject Matter Expert (SME) in implementing back office solutions or developing custom solutions for back office operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, accounting software, and financial reporting applications.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues across back office, accounting, and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts and requirements.
- Experience leveraging SQL, Visio, and other common project tools preferred.
