What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative position at Opto Diode Corp.?
Inside Sales responsibility:
- Reply and follow up on customer inquires
- Proactively identify and qualify sales leads through various channels (e.g., phone, email, online research, and marketing activities).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Understand customer needs and provide appropriate product/service recommendations.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotes.
- Negotiate contracts & close sales deal in order to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities.
- Initiating and follow up internally during the Contract Review process
- Manage customer portals like Ariba, Exostar etc.
- Maintain and update internal metrics for the sales department
Customer Service responsibility:
- Work closely with outside sales, project management, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance to address customer needs and requirements.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues effectively and efficiently.
- Process orders, returns, and exchanges accurately.
o Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions.
o Take ownership of the backlog report with production and update the promise delivery status accordingly to maintain a positive on time delivery report.
o Review CFM and line items for partial deliveries, on a weekly basis.
- Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude towards customers. Gather customer feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate departments as needed.
Qualifications:
o Proven experience in inside sales and/or customer service, preferably in a technical environment.
o Ability to learn technical concepts rather quickly.
o Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
o Ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite and Customer portals.
o Enthusiastic, self-starter, customer oriented, positive attitude are key traits
o Experience in Optoelectronics is a plus.
