Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Optical Engineer specializing in Image Quality of displays & images to join our major clients team for a 12-month contract, with potential for extension and conversion. This role will be onsite in Redmond, WA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data platform infrastructure and provide a seamless end-to-end experience for our teams. This position requires someone who has designed a matrix from scratch, understands the theory and depth of their work, and can see projects through from end to end.
Job Responsibilities:
- Use simulation tools to model end-to-end performance of display systems.
- Report analysis of these simulations to establish specifications for display systems and ensure successful products.
- Collaborate with the larger research team to explore concepts and drive system performance to create compelling experiences.
- Engage in systems-level engineering and see projects through from end to end.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as an Optical Engineer or Image Quality Engineer or a similar role.
- Knowledge of several of the following: µLED, OLED, LCD, LCOS, DMD, etc. based displays, display metrology/calibration, image signal processing, camera ISP, display pipeline architecture, digital filters, colorimetry, color space conversions, imaging waveguides, image quality metrics, human perception.
- Experience with image algorithm/ISP development, convolutions, Fourier transforms.
- Deep experience in MATLAB.
- Have more than just tuning experience; possess a deep theoretical understanding.
- BS in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Computer Science, Color Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work/education experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related degree; PhD preferred.
- 5 years of experience in research or advanced display/camera development.

Salary : $60 - $70
