Optomi, in partnership with our entertainment client, are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their team on a 6 month contract opportunity with potential to convert.
Hybrid - onsite 1x/week
W2 only - no C2C/sponsorship available.
Position Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to take ownership of infrastructure and server-side operations, stepping into a critical role.
You’ll join a small, agile team with high impact, supporting sophisticated server environments, CI/CD workflows, and private cloud infrastructure. The focus of this role is maintaining stability, ensuring scalability, and streamlining deployment operations across the technology stack.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Systems Administration roles
- Deep expertise in Linux server management and OS-level troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly:
- GitHub
- Jenkins (including database and web application deployments)
- Strong familiarity with cloud infrastructure
- Proficient with Docker and container-based environments
- Skilled in server performance analysis and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of server architecture and infrastructure-as-code principles
- Experience deploying or maintaining Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Flask and Django-based web applications
- Understanding of ETL pipelines and database-level application support
- Experience configuring or maintaining load balancers
- Exposure to UC4 or similar job scheduling/queue-based systems
- Knowledge of change management and access control best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain all DevOps operations and infrastructure tooling
- Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines for both application and data workflows (including Snowflake)
- Scale and troubleshoot infrastructure, provision new servers
- Continuously improve infrastructure processes, load balancing, and monitoring practices
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability for mission-critical systems
