Optomi, in partnership with a global leading entertainment corporation, are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Migration Engineer to lead and execute large-scale migrations of enterprise collaboration platforms to Microsoft 365. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively across matrixed teams and organizational levels, including executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale enterprise migrations to M365, including Google Workspace (Drive, Gmail, Calendars) and Box platform migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Design, implement, and manage migration strategies using tools such as Microsoft Migration Manager or similar platforms.
- Perform complex migrations of Box custom apps and GCP projects to M365 using Azure Graph API, ensuring compatibility and data integrity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and develop solutions for Box custom app models, published apps, and SSO integrations.
- Configure and manage Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), SharePoint sites, OneDrive permissions, and the broader M365 ecosystem.
- Provide technical expertise on the Google GCP project model, API permissions, and domain-wide delegation configurations.
- Perform technical analysis and resolve migration-related challenges, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of collaboration tools.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, delivering clear verbal and written documentation and presentations.
- Foster collaboration across virtual, matrixed teams to ensure alignment and success of critical initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of progressive experience in IT, with a strong focus on enterprise-level Messaging and Collaboration technologies.
- 5 years of demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and integrating large-scale collaboration solutions.
- 3 years of project management experience, leading large IT initiatives.
- Proven experience working with and managing suppliers in outsourced environments.
- Extensive experience migrating, consolidating, and optimizing collaboration platforms like Google Workspace/G-Suite and Box to Microsoft-based toolsets.
Required Skills and Expertise
- In-depth experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and migration processes.
- Expertise with Microsoft Migration Manager or similar tools for data migration.
- Strong knowledge of Box custom apps, published apps, and app models.
- Hands-on experience with Azure AD, SharePoint sites, OneDrive, and their respective permission models.
- Experience in Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations and advanced security configurations.
- Proficiency in migrating Google Workspace Drive, Gmail, and Calendars for enterprise environments (100 users).
- Comprehensive understanding of Google GCP Projects, API permissions, and domain-wide delegation.

- Hybrid opportunity (3x a week on site) out of one of the clients major hubs: Burbank, CA, Seattle, WA, Orlando, FL
- 10 month contract to hire!
