Job Purpose:
Optum Construction Group is in need of a Bookkeeper to take care of all our company day to day financial tasks. You will be responsible for both accounts payable and receivable along with payroll and bank account management and reconciliation tasks.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Processing biweekly payroll
- Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis
- Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
- Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
- Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
- Ensure data accuracy
- Bank and credit card reconciliations

Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Five years related experience and/or related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience using QuickBooks
- Experience with AIA billing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher)
- Good administration skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess the ability to work independently and with limited oversight.
- Must possess and continually display professional business demeanor
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); five years related experience and/or related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Ability:
Successful performance of this job requires the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
