Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm PST (with a 30-minute lunch). Candidates must be located in PST, CST, EST or MST Time Zone.

You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Positions in this function analyze and monitor claims against potential fraud, waste and abuse related to network pharmacies
  • Investigate, review, and analyze claims data applying knowledge of pharmacy policy and practice and data mining techniques to determine details of potential fraudulent, erroneous, or abusive billing activity on Real Time Application System and various reports
  • The auditor will need to identify and document potentially fraudulent or erroneous activities determined as a result of their work. Auditors typically are licensed Pharmacy Technicians with in-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations
  • Auditors are responsible to achieve assigned goals and meet quality standards for their documentation

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail pharmacy, PBM or specialized pharmacy
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in state of residence
  • Active and unrestricted National Pharmacy Technician Certification (ExCPT or PTCB)
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Word (creating/updating documents) and Microsoft Excel (creating/updating spreadsheets, pivot tables, and formulas)
  • 1 years of Pharmacy Technician experience in a retail pharmacy, PBM or specialized pharmacy
  • Flexibility to work as late as 5:00 PM Pacific Time
  • Reside in the United States in the Central, Mountain, Pacific or Eastern Time Zone

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
