Job Summary: The AR Analyst is responsible for managing accounts receivable, with a focus on collection efforts across assigned states. This role supports and assists with various ad hoc projects, including key accounts and cash application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable Management:
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts.
- Develop and implement effective collection strategies to reduce outstanding debts.
- Collection Efforts:
- Lead collection activities for one or two designated states and key accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to facilitate effective collections.
- Accounts Receivable Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual invoices and reports related to collections and accounts receivable.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies in all financial reporting.
- Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, customer service) to resolve payment issues and improve customer relations.
- Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices and negotiate payment plans when necessary, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive company image .
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze financial data and collection metrics to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports on collections performance for management review.
- Ad Hoc Projects:
- Participate in special projects and reporting initiatives as required.
- Provide support in optimizing billing processes and improving efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, and customer service.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools.
