Overview
I am seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Habilitation Worker for my 27 year old son. In this role, you will provide one to one support to my son who is Autistic. Helping him lead a fulfilling life within his community in Lyons, NY. Your work will involve direct one to one interaction. The willingness to obtain and provide opportunities for my son . Someone that will give him understanding, patience, and to provide companionship..
This position is Monday-Thursday and during the day. 20 hours a week paid through payroll at $30 an hour plus mileage.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct support for my son, who is autistic, in various settings.
- Maintain accurate data on progress for reporting purposes.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to my son’s needs and preferences.
- Drive, with your personal vehicle, my son from his home to community activities or volunteer opportunities then back to his home. Mileage paid at 70 cents a mile only for the time you are with my son.
- Find and advocate for volunteer placement for my son aligning with his goals.
Requirements
- Experience in direct support roles is highly desirable.
- Ability to find volunteer opportunities for my son aligning with his goals.
- Familiarity with computer entry for your timesheet and documentation for goals worked on.
- A valid driver's license is required for transporting my son from my home into community.
- A compassionate attitude and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for my son.
- If hired you are required To work with Starbridge as they will verify your work, school, and references. Fingerprinting with background check which is no expense to you, is required. Starbridge will provide you with paid trainings before you are able to start.
