Position Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for obtaining and managing precertification and authorizations for imaging and testing procedures. This role involves submitting and following up on requests with patients' insurance carriers, ensuring all insurance information is accurate and appropriately submitted. You will collaborate with providers and their medical teams, review patients' medical records to facilitate the authorization process, review daily imaging schedules to optimize patient care, and communicate with other healthcare facilities. This role also includes handling patient phone calls and directing calls to the appropriate department. ORA holds all our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations.
Requirements:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous insurance experience in a medical office is preferred. A successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of customer service principles and will have familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals is required.

Individual pay will depend on a wide range of factors such as candidate skills, experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and alignment with company benchmarks.
