JOB DESCRIPTION
- FULL-TIME
To support the needs of Media student projects and help meet the growing demands of the Media program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist ORU Media students with film and video productions including locations, permits, rebates, releases, copyrights, legal, insurance, travel, purchases, logistics, etc.
- Manage and maintain media equipment, equipment offices, facility rentals, and the reservation system.
- Research and recommend media equipment purchases.
- Manage the promotion, distribution, and archive of student projects.
- Research and disseminate information on film festivals and other competitions to faculty and students.
- Organize, promote, and assist in the running of Media program events and projects
- Be the liaison with businesses, production companies, local and state film offices, ORU entities, and others, and communicate opportunities to faculty and students.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Media.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience/Skills:
- Must be knowledgeable on film and video production and equipment.
- Must have recent experience in film, field, and video production.
- Must be an excellent communicator, have strong organizational skills, and able to work and make progress on multiple, simultaneous projects.
- Must be student-focused, service-oriented, and work well in teams.
- Must have Adobe Creative Suite proficiency in Premiere Pro, Audition and familiarity/competency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Preferred: Social media content development and management experience; SEO and website content management system knowledge and experience.
- Preferred: Professional film and video experience in the Tulsa area and/or work experience with the Oklahoma Film and Music Office.
