JOB DESCRIPTION
- FULL-TIME
Provide administrative support for the Director of the Stovall Center in event planning and organization, Stovall Center media and promotion, student engagement, and management of student employees among other responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working directly with students, providing advice and additional perspective in their business development
- Direct oversight of student employees, monitoring quality and pace of work, and supporting students to develop through their work responsibilities
- Supporting the planning and execution of strategic plans for the Stovall Center in areas including but not limited to student engagement, community engagement, and program development
- Monitoring and replenishing office supplies
- Event booking/scheduling, and logistics, support with organization and planning for events. Coordinating with other ORU depts. For various services and needs
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in business or a STEMP program.
Experience/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving capabilities
- Must demonstrate an ability to operate autonomously, and produce quality/creative outcomes to problem sets that will arise in the course of the job
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in running/working strategically with a business or organization.
- Experience managing small teams
- Experience developing and executing strategic plans and initiatives for growth, and engagement
- Should be technologically literate (Microsoft programs, Canva) and willing to develop skills in this area
- Capable of learning and effectively implementing university budgeting, scheduling, and requisition software
- Strong organizational capabilities
- Maintain orientation of deadlines, and moving projects and stakeholders toward deadlines effectively
