POSITION SUMMARY
seeks an exceptional Deputy Chief of Staff to assist the Chief of Staff in managing office daily operations and policy analysis. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating with stakeholders, analyzing policies, and providing assistance on a wide range of complex issues. Our Office operates in a fast-paced environment with numerous high-priority tasks. The ideal candidate should be adept at handling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and fostering positive professional relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational Management : Assist the Chief of Staff with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office, including workflow coordination, staff management, office efficiency, and resource allocation.
- Staff Supervision : Supervise, mentor, train, and coach staff.
- Policy Support : Collaborate with the Chief of Staff to develop and implement policy initiatives. Oversee policy areas and provide recommendations.
- Project Management : Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned. Ensure project goals and deadlines are met.
- Event Coordination : Forecast staffing and resource needs to host and participate in successfully in events.
- Organization : Our office participates in at least 75 events a year, responds to hundreds of constituents needs and concerns, and forges many policy initiatives. This position requires someone who is adept at helping to organize and prioritize the work of a team. The ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities is key to the success of this position.
- Professional Relationships : Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with elected officials, internal County staff, executives, non-profit leaders and community members.
