What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Nutrition (RD Dietary) OC Global Medical Center position at Orange County Global Medical Center?
The director is responsible for all nutritional care and meal services for hospitalized patients as well as all non–patient food service operations. Establishes operational guidelines, and makes department operational decisions for budgeting, staffing, supplies, programs, activities, and all associated activities.
Requirements :
- Registered Dietitian in good standing with three years of experience in nutritional services in an acute care facility.
- Familiarity with Office and Nutritional computer software programs.
- Working knowledge of operational management.
- Knowledge of food service sanitation and safety. Must be certified in food safety.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess strong leadership, training, goal setting, and supervisory skills.
- Must possess a supervisory style that promotes teamwork, enhances creativity, stimulates motivation, facilitates communication, and builds consensus.
- Must possess exceptional guest relations and customer service skills.
- Must have the ability to take creative approaches to problem-solving and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done right.
- Must demonstrate good sound judgment and organizational skills.
- Must have a working knowledge of every aspect of food service operations including :
Budgeting and finance.
