The Orange County Convention Center is seeking to hire a On Call Sound & Lighting Maintenance Technician. This role assists experienced tradesmen with installation, maintenance, repair, and scheduling of sound & lighting, along with other systems within the Orange County Convention Center. On Call employees will not be called and scheduled to work more than one-thousand and two hundred (1,200) hours in a fiscal year.

Job Description

Representative Duties/Assignments

Based on assignment:

  • Assists experienced technicians in the programming of lighting & audio for events.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot & repair lighting & audio systems at the OCCC.
  • Programing lighting schedules and audio services for events.
  • Assist in the assembly and repair of maintenance of sound & lighting equipment.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

No prior experience necessary. Valid FL Driver's License required. Must be able to work irregular hours according to show activity including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary Information

Pay Grade: 406 - From $15.61 to $16.65

Educational Requirements

If you have obtained education from a country other than the United States, your degree or diploma must be evaluated to determine the United States equivalency by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Service (NACES) or the Association of International Credentials Evaluations (AICE) at your expense.
