Low Voltage Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems including paging, background music, CATV, sound masking and A/V. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in using hand tools to ensure the effective operation of various low voltage equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure low voltage systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues with existing installations.
• Utilize hand tools and equipment to perform installations and repairs efficiently.
• Ensure all cabling is installed correctly and meets industry standards for safety and performance.
• Document all work performed, including installation details and maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking principles.
• Ability to detect issues in low voltage systems quickly and accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Relevant certifications in low voltage or related fields are a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
