IT Managers provide leadership, resolve problems, and ensure that their assigned unit is operating effectively. Duties require a broad knowledge of information technology operations, approaches, and development practices. Managers will assist in the creation of the technology strategic plan and be proficient in business and systems analysis. IT Manager will have specific expertise in Service Management, Solution Delivery, or IT Security. Work is performed independently, with little technical supervision, and reports to the Director of Information Management Services.

Minimum Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to comprehend and communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- U.S. Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card.
- Clean criminal history; any arrest history will be individually evaluated.
- No illegal drug usage within the past year. Other drug usage will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
- Associates of Arts degree (A.A. or A.S.) in a related field AND 7 years of recent progressive experience in development technologies, server/storage/network technologies and network security administration tools OR Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field AND five (5) years of recent progressive experience in development technologies, server/storage/network technologies and network security administration tools preferred. At least one advanced certification pertaining to their assigned unit is required. One (1) year of supervisory experience required.
- If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an Associate Degree
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a Bachelor's Degree
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a Master's Degree
- Depending on assignment must have associated certifications; Service management requires an Information Technology Infrastructure Language (ITIL) certification and have or be seeking a project management professional (PMP) certification. Solutions Delivery Manager requires a PMP certification and have or be seeking an ITIL certification. The Security Manager requires a CISSP certification and have or be seeking either a PMP or ITIL certification. Must have a valid Florida driver’s license. Must attend and successfully complete the agency sponsored Law Enforcement Vehicle Operations (LEVO) Training if assignment includes driving agency vehicle. Use of agency vehicle would require appropriate driving history and passing agency biennial driver’s physical exam. Depending on assignment, may be required to be FCIC/NCIC certified within one (1) year of employment.

- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and also sit and work on the computer for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or use hands to handle or feel. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may have to assist someone lifting up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is generally performed in a standard office setting. The employee must be able to work in remote locations within Orange County and possibly outside of Orange County. The employee will be working with computer related equipment and may occasionally be exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Depending on assignment, may be required to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends. The employee is required to support the agency’s emergency operations during a critical incident and may be recalled.
