What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Advisor position at Orange Grove Center Inc?
This is a part-time, temporary, administrative sala1y position. This employee commits to work 800
annual hours between the months of April 2025 and March 2026. The employee will:
- Understand and work within the culture, needs, and expectations of Orange Grove Center.
- Look beyond what exists today and envision what can and needs to exist for students with ID and the agency and will work collaboratively to align vision to resources.
- Share knowledge and expertise in Tennessee non-public school (NPS) programs and processes
- On behalf of Orange Grove, initiate planning and program participation in IEA, ESA, EFS, ESSA (Title), and IDEA from the position of a Category I NPS
- Connect the COO and Director with applicable community partners.
- Work alongside the COO and Director as a community resource expe11.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule as needed.
Masters required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum ten years' professional experience required. Experience with prioritizing multiple tasks to completion and producing professional quality results required. Experience developing local and state educational resources and directing a special education school required. Experience with consulting, training, and implementation of special education programing required. Connectivity with numerous professional agencies and relevant networks is required.
Fluent computer skills are required. Professional demeanor and dedication to continually improving the independence and well-being of students with disabilities are required. Demonstrated ability to balance projects with the needed and available resources is required.
