What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Scheduler position at ORCAS Project Controls?
We have a great opportunity for a Project Scheduler who can support a large CAPEX Project and smaller projects within a program utilizing Primavera P6. This is for projects in Healthcare and Life Sciences, including hospitals, medical clinics, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical devices. The scopes will include civil, structural, mechanical, process piping, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, automation systems, commissioning & validation, regulatory, and operational readiness.
Mostly On-site Position in Seattle with possible 1 day remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Develop quality schedule baselines.
- Versatile people skills, from the field foreman to the vice president.
- Manage schedule and perform updates.
- Perform what-if schedule scenarios, advanced schedule analysis, and variance analysis reports. Manage schedule changes and analyze change impact.
- Summarize schedule status in a narrative and create status reports and presentations for management.
- Perform resource planning and optimization.
- Facilitates project and schedule meetings
- Produce meaningful schedule reports and analysis
- Ensure schedules are developed in compliance with corporate and department requirements and contractual requirements
- Develops schedule related processes and procedures
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and presentation capabilities: written and verbal.
- Demonstrate a team spirit and strong dedication to success of the team.
- Construction experience required
- Knowledge in the construction of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Experience with field planning and progressing. Solid knowledge and experience in Primavera P6 and Oracle Primavera Cloud.
- Any experience in life sciences (project management, commissioning, scheduling, cost, etc.)
Education and Training:
- Relevant Construction Experience and Primavera Experience 10 years
- Oracle Primavera Cloud 1 years
- 3 years Healthcare or Life Sciences Experience (biotech, pharmaceutical, medical devices)
- 3 years of Program Scheduling and Optimization
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Any certification from PMI or AACE is beneficial
