Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with menu development and food preparation, ensuring seasonal and locally inspired dishes.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of presentation, taste, and efficiency.
  • Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor food inventory and collaborate with the Lodge Chef to manage budgets and food costs.
  • Act as the kitchen leader in the absence of the Lodge Chef, ensuring seamless service.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role within a professional kitchen.
  • Strong culinary skills and passion for high-quality, locally sourced cuisine.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team while maintaining a positive kitchen culture.
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and budgeting.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • A deep appreciation for seasonal and sustainable ingredients.
