Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients, schedule appointments, handle phone inquiries, and ensure each patient has a positive experience from check-in to check-out.
- Ensure exam rooms are ready for use by disinfecting and sanitizing them thoroughly between patients, maintaining a clean environment, performing light housekeeping tasks as needed, restocking supplies, and assisting healthcare providers by positioning patients correctly and ensuring instruments are easily accessible.
- Accurately document patient histories, reconcile medications, and ensure all necessary documents (e.g., lab results, radiology reports, hospital discharge paperwork) are available for provider review.
- Conduct manual blood pressure readings, orthostatic assessments, and record all vital signs accurately.
- Proficiently schedule and triage sick patient incoming calls evaluating urgency, ensuring timely and appropriate care based on patient needs.
- Accurately administer medications, therapeutic injections, and vaccines for both pediatric and adult patients as directed by the physician, ensuring professionalism and compassion in patient care.
- Perform in-house flu testing, strep testing, PT/INR, diabetic testing when applicable.
- Perform EKGs, PFTs, eye exams, and run in-house urine and/or blood tests.
- Accurately complete required documentation, including DOT paperwork, FMLA forms, insurance forms, and medication prior authorizations. Ensure thorough documentation of all aspects of patient visits, including chief complaints, symptoms, test results, diagnoses, and treatments
- Work effectively within a team and independently, demonstrating initiative, quick thinking, and the ability to solve problems efficiently.
- Maintain composure and professionalism in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations.

- Team-Oriented: A collaborative spirit with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years in a primary care setting is preferred, with familiarity in using eClinicalWorks (ECW) being a significant advantage.
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and documenting medical terminology with strong attention to detail.
- Strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality is non-negotiable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to foster effective collaboration with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple roles with poise, and remain calm under pressure.
- A demonstrated ability to learn new processes and systems quickly is a valuable asset.
