Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within our ophthalmology clinic. This position involves assisting our ophthalmologist with various clinical tasks, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care while maintaining accurate medical records and vital signs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the examination of patients by performing preliminary tests and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, including visual acuity and intraocular pressure.
- Maintain and update patient medical records accurately in the clinic's systems.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is clean and functional.
- Provide support at the front desk, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
- Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care instructions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of ocular anatomy to assist during examinations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an ophthalmology or optical setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a clinical environment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical records management and patient care protocols.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Arabic proficiency would be helpful.
