Are you a reliable and detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in finance and administrative work? Orchard Place is hiring an Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join our collaborative Finance team. In this role, you’ll support billing, payments, and financial record-keeping processes while contributing to our mission of helping children and families thrive.
Hourly Rate: Ranges from $18.00 to $20.00, depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: Monday - Friday: 8 AM - 5 PM
What You’ll Do
Accounts Receivable
- Investigate and resolve denial letters, rejected claims, recoupments, and self-pay refunds
- Follow up with patients and insurance providers to support collections and billing accuracy
- Support aging reports, prepare journal entries, and assist with month-end financials
- Distribute accurate and timely billing statements
Accounts Payable
- Enter invoices and vendor data using Blackbaud accounting software
- Record daily bank transactions and process deposits
- Run weekly payment batches and respond to AP inquiries
- Support year-end audits, campus inventory, and finance projects
- Provide coverage during absences or peak periods
Sound like a good fit? A few requirements include:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical finance
- Strong preference for candidates with a background in insurance collections or revenue cycle operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Experience with Blackbaud or similar accounting software preferred
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and professional discretion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
