Position Overview
- This role involves preparing meals according to standard menus and serving times, ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The individual will adhere to the values of the Sanctuary model, promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. They are responsible for food production record-keeping, monitoring food temperatures, and reporting equipment issues to maintenance. The role includes collaborating on menu development, filling food requisitions, and training youth kitchen helpers. Additionally, the individual will contribute to quality improvement efforts and assist with other departmental duties to ensure seamless service.
- Prepare the morning, noon and evening meals following a standard menu plan and standard serving times
- Maintain food production records according to regulatory standards and procedures
- Participate in training of dietary personnel including youth kitchen helpers
- Degree in Culinary Arts or two years food service experience
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and driving record that meets agency guidelines
