OPERATIONS & DATA ANALYST

SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Operations & Data Analyst to join a well-established, growing, and ensemble-based, private wealth management firm in West Des Moines, Iowa. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in data integrity and compilation across multiple applications, process methodology, effective communication, and an understanding of technology infrastructure while living the core values of Gilbert & Cook.


The Operations & Data Analyst role at Gilbert & Cook is part of the Operations Team supporting the entire firm. The Team is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions, back-office infrastructure including technology hardware in conjunction with an external provider, data integration and integrity across multiple systems, vendor liaison and management, systematic process workflows, internal and external report development and processing, and finance support with an emphasis on revenue recognition.The role’s primary responsibility will include working with all teams to identify needs, create, and execute and document solutions, which support firm and departmental goals.


The role will have experience working with overall operational duties with an emphasis on data management. The role requires excellent communication skills, an organized and detail-oriented mindset, the ability to collaborate and analyze while functioning at a high level in a fast-moving, dynamic environment. Experience in the financial services industry is preferred, however, candidates with the right skillset and attitude will be considered.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand IT systems and their integration with business processes (Microsoft suite, Data base system and investment performance measurement software)

Create and maintain efficient systematic workflow processes in collaboration with all departments

Reconcile data and provide database management across multiple systems

Provide expertise in data management for the tracking and reporting of various and multiple client reports and business metrics

Act as liaison to outside technology vendors

Provide expertise for various back-office systems

Lead and execute on all billing functions for all fee-based accounts, financial planning fees, and the tracking of commissions

Assist with maintaining organized electronic document filing system

Initial point of contact and problem solver within the firm on technology issues

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of proven relevant experience
  • Capability and desire to demonstrate the Gilbert & Cook Core Values
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience in the private wealth management industry a plus
