SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position is FLSA exempt and not eligible for overtime. Serves as a technical resource for multiple Human Resources functions, such as benefits administration; recruitment; FMLA and OFLA; safety; policy development and records administration. Routinely handles confidential information.
Performs position duties in a manner which promotes customer service and harmonious working relationships, including treating all persons courteously and respectfully. Engages in effective team participation through willingness to assist and support co-workers, supervisors, and other work related-associations. Develops good working relationships with division and agency staff and supervisors through active participation in accomplishing group projects and in identifying and resolving problems in a constructive manner. Demonstrates openness of constructive feedback and suggestions, in an effort to strengthen work performance. Contributes to a positive, respectful, and productive work atmosphere. - Conducts Salary Studies as identified by Management and / or the CBA.
- Develops and maintains classification specifications for the agency.
- Conducts Classification Studies and provides recommendations to resolve conflicting findings in alignment with agency policies and the CBA.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is generally performed in an office environment with routine computer and telephone usage. Position requires sitting and typing for long periods of time. Position may require attendance at occasional evening meetings. Occasional travel throughout the three-county area may be required to pick up meeting supplies, run errands for the program, attend training, or visit other COG work sites.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED : Receives general supervision from the Human Resources Manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : None.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience & Training
A bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior or Development, Business or Public Administration, the Applied Behavioral Sciences, Industrial Relations, or a job-related course of study determined by the appointing authority; and two years of Human Resource professional-level experience related to the position. ORValid Certification as a Professional in Human Resource awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute, and three years Human Resource professional-level experience related to the position. ORFive years Human Resource experience related to the position. Three of the five years must have been at the professional-level.A master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of professional-level experience.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Policies and practices involved in human resource functions.
