We are seeking a Facilities Technician to join our team at Oregon Change Clinic! In this role, you will be the backbone of our facility’s daily operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both clients and staff. Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting with various facility-related needs at the clinic as they arise.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting common areas, offices, and treatment rooms.
- Address small maintenance issues such as replacing light bulbs, tightening door handles, patching minor wall damage, and assembling office furniture.
- Conduct routine inspections of the building to identify and report potential maintenance or safety concerns.
- Clean and restock restrooms regularly, ensuring they meet hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Ensure outdoor spaces, walkways, and entrances remain clean, safe, and free of debris.
- Report significant maintenance or operational concerns to management and suggest solutions for facility improvements.
- Conduct periodic deep-cleaning tasks, including carpet cleaning, wall washing, and furniture sanitization.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in facilities support, janitorial services, light maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of general handyman tasks, including minor repairs, furniture assembly, and basic plumbing fixes.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures, sanitation protocols, and proper use of janitorial equipment.
- Understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA standards and infection control best practices.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and moving furniture.
- Experience working in a healthcare, behavioral health, or nonprofit setting is a plus
- Able to successfully pass a Department of Human Services (DHS) background check, as a condition of employment.
- Must successfully pass a drug screening and tuberculosis (TB) testing as part of the pre-employment process.
