What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Social Studies Teacher position at Oregon City School District 62?
Position Description:
The individual accepting this assignment will teach Bilingual Social Studies in a 6th through 8th grade middle school.
Special Requirements: (Certification, training, specialty skills or previous experience)
1. Valid Oregon teaching license appropriate to the assignment, with a social studies endorsement required.
2. Knowledge of social/emotional needs of middle school students, and ability to work well with students and peers.
3. Use of a variety of learning and instructional models.
4. Interest in being involved with the total school community.
5. Knowledge of and experience with technology, and with alternative assessment strategies.
6. Personal attributes: Possession of a good sense of humor, willingness to work hard, demonstrated rapport with students, high energy level, and possession of sound organizational skills and practices.
7. Bilingual (Spanish).
This position is 1.0 FTE.
