The Role

Bring your customer service skills to one of our busy DMV offices as a temporary transportation assistant. In this role, you will take photos for identification cards and driver licenses, inspect vehicles and verify VIN numbers. A Day In The Life

  • Take photos for customers who have applied for identification cards, instructional permits or driver licenses.
  • Inspect vehicles and verify VIN numbers. This requires working outside in all weather conditions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in every interaction.
  • Answer complex questions from the general public about DMV services and procedures.
  • Must be able to type at least 30 words per minute with a high level of accuracy. A typing assessment will be conducted at time of interview for selected candidates.
  • Travel to other offices within the region for relief work.
  • Attend training sessions outside of the region.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents.

OR

An associate’s degree in any field.

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Temporary appointments may be full-time or part-time and will not exceed six months or 1,040 hours.
