The HR Generalist is a key contributor to OFC’s People & Culture team, focusing on the effective execution of core HR functions. This role supports the organization by assisting in the management of HR processes, administering employee benefits, ensuring compliance with HR policies, and maintaining accurate records. The HR Generalist collaborates across departments to foster a positive and compliant workplace culture, ensuring the smooth operation of HR workflows and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned):
· Administratively execute all HR workflows, coordinating with co-employer for required paperwork in compliance with established processes and procedures.
· Demonstrate a strong commitment to achieving individual and team goals, including good organizational and administration skills in order to self-manage and develop discipline and be flexible and coachable.
· Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
· Proactive self-starter, with the ability to structure own schedule and meet deadlines.
· Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

Recruitment & Onboarding
· Support recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening applications, and coordinating interviews.
· Partner with the co-employer to complete onboarding processes, including pre-employment verification, E-Verify, and required documentation.
Benefits Administration
· Administer and provide support for employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and address employee inquiries.
Employee Records & Lifecycle Management
· Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, including performance, training, and disciplinary documentation.
· Track and coordinate annual evaluations and training programs.
Payroll Support
· Compile, audit, and submit payroll information to the payroll specialist, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, benefits, and wage changes.
· Prepare documentation for manual paycheck adjustments as needed.
HR Compliance & Communication
· Ensure HR workflows adhere to established policies and procedures.
· Provide support for compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Education and/or Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an administrative role.
· Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance is preferred.
· Experience with HR systems and tools, recruitment processes, and benefits administration.
· Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills to accurately manage tasks, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain thorough records and documentation.
· Proven experience in safeguarding sensitive information, maintaining strict confidentiality, and adhering to secure data handling practices in alignment with organizational policies and standards.
Language Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with various departments and external vendors. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
Mathematical Skills
Basic analytical skills to review and interpret HR metrics, such as turnover rates and recruitment data, to provide insights and support for decision-making processes.
Computer Skills
Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word (for document creation and reporting), Excel (for data analysis and tracking), and Outlook (for email communication and scheduling). Basic troubleshooting skills to address minor technical issues related to facility systems and equipment.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to recognize and define problems as well as assist and partner with the appropriate group or leader to solve problems. Able to deal with a variety of variables in various situations and scenarios. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred but not required.
