Description
As the Assistant Director of Payment Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, compliance, and overall performance of the Payment Services Department. You will oversee payment processing, reconciliation, research, and adjustments while implementing strategic improvements to enhance department operations.
This position requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for process improvements, and the ability to collaborate with third-party service providers. You will also ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and credit union policies while supporting and mentoring your team.

What you will need to be successful:
- Leadership & Compliance: Ability to manage team performance, ensure adherence to policies, and drive process improvements.
- Problem-Solving & Analytics: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve payment processing issues.
- Technology & Process Improvements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with payment processing software and fraud investigation tools is a plus.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Financial & Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements related to payment services.
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required, ACH-related certification preferred (or must be obtained within one year of hire), and experience in financial institutions, accounting, or payment processing preferred.
