Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill five to ten part-time (between 2-6 hours per week) tutor positions for the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) at Oregon State University (OSU).
The CAMP Tutor position exists to assist the incoming group of first-year migrant students. The tutors possess knowledge in a range of academic subjects. Using that knowledge, they get to enhance the learning of students. That way, students can be successful in their coursework and uncover methods for better study.
Position Duties
- Provide one-on-one tutoring to new CAMP students during scheduled tutoring times at approved reserved locations on campus.
- Attend Tutor Meetings throughout the school year to connect with other tutors, share ideas and strategies for best practices, and create a supportive tutoring team.
- Participate in other duties as assigned, such as presenting to students at the CAMP Orientation course or various educational workshops.
- Tutors will guide students in their academic learning.
- Tutors will decide how best to teach the students.
