Department Summary
Facilities Services is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair and construction of the college campus, to provide the physical environment in which instruction and learning takes place. The department supports the education and administration of approximately 3,400 students, faculty and staff. The Facilities Services department employs 25 full time workers and up to 6 part time students. The campus includes 14 major buildings encompassing 850,000 square feet. Campus utility systems include natural gas, electricity, domestic water, heating and cooling water, sanitary and storm sewers, telephone and data cabling.
Position Summary
The role of the Custodial Supervisor assists in the management and supervision of the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly operations of the Facilities Services custodial staff; perform the duties of the custodians in their absence; perform essential maintenance of buildings and assure efficient operations meet the needs of faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
The Custodial Supervisor will use department and University resources effectively and efficiently to be as productive as possible. The Custodial Supervisor will need to use written and verbal communication with staff and administration in a clear and precise manner, schedule and track safety training requirements, complete performance evaluations and to improve the campus-recycling program.

Minimum Requirements
Additional Requirements
- Associates degree in management or related field and three years of experience in a custodial service environment; or a combination of relevant education and experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Valid Divers License.
- Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals
