Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oregrown sales associates are responsible for educating consumers about the effects, benefits, and overall experience of cannabis products. They must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills by ensuring the consumer is well-informed and satisfied with their purchase.

● Greeting and welcoming all customers in a friendly and engaging manner

● Responsible for sales and customer experience by maintaining a tidy, safe, and inviting store environment

● Ensure the sales floor is properly stocked and the presence of the store is well maintained

● Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures

● Accurately use and maintain the Point Of Sale (POS) system

● Correct cash handling and discount application

● Guiding customers on suitable cannabis products according to their preferences, needs, and budget

● Maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures including the METRC system (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking and Compliance)

● Processing cash and credit card payments on the (Point of Sale) POS system with accuracy

● Educating consumers on the safe use of their cannabis product

● Thoroughly checking customers' ID to see if they are of legal age (21)

● Ensuring the dispensary is clean, well-stocked, and tidy at all times

● Correctly weighing, packaging, stocking, labeling, and taking inventory of cannabis products

● Ability to work effectively as part of a team

● Assist customers in finding products

● Completing the daily side work checklist

● Stocking products and the backroom

● Stickering and stocking products

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

● Must be at least 21 years of age

● Must pass a background check with the city of Chico

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers and supervisors

● 1 Year of retail sales experience in a dispensary is preferred but not required

● High school diploma or GED preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

● Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

● Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

● Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

● Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone

● While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, twisting, turning, pushing, pulling, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, climbing, and typing through their shift.

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
