Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of long-term care. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with disabilities, including autism and developmental disabilities, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This role requires a patient individual who can perform various tasks, including personal care, daily living activities, and monitoring vital signs.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed to ensure the health and safety of clients.
- Support individuals with disabilities in their daily routines, promoting independence while ensuring safety.
- Assist with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring clients as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients in home care or group home settings.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.
- Document care provided in accordance with company policies and client requirements.
Experience
- Fingerprint Clearance is required
- Article 9
- CPR/First Aid
- Prevention and Support
- Previous experience in long-term care, home health, or direct support roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities, including autism and developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of vital sign monitoring techniques is a plus.
- Experience in a group home or home care setting is advantageous.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist them in mobility tasks is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
