Location – This is a hybrid role, which means that you will have the flexibility to work both onsite and at a distance. You will collaborate onsite at our La Farge, WI office for 4-8 days per month, and the rest of the time you can choose to work remotely or onsite.

Summary Of Role
The Dairy Payroll Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the collaboration and execution of work related to dairy farmer payables. This position fulfills the day-to-day payroll operations at CROPP with milk handlers to ensure timely and accurate payments to CROPP’s dairy members. The Dairy Payroll Coordinator will also assist in Federal Milk Market Order reporting.

This hourly wage range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base hourly wage compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the hourly wage range and hiring at the maximum of the hourly wage range is not typical.

The Dairy Payroll Coordinator will also assist in Federal Milk Market Order reporting.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate preparation of dairy farmer payrolls, including Organic Transition Premium payments when applicable.
- Work collaboratively with Accounting/Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of all Dairy Farmer Payment related transactions.
- Collaborate and communicate with milk handlers in preparation for dairy payroll and to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Responsible for milk component balancing with dairy plants receiving CROPP member milk.
- Assist with completion of regulatory state payroll reports along with National Dairy Board Promotion and Research Board report and payments.
- Assist with reconciliation and payment of milk handler invoices.
- Assist with monthly Federal Milk Market Order reporting.
- Assist with maintenance of accurate component pricing and quality premiums in producer payroll systems and provide analysis and scenario modeling as needed.
- Responsible for setup and maintenance of critical master data in DSI.
- Provide excellent customer service to dairy members including pay price changes, milk check questions, and historical pay and production requests.
- Provide back-up to the Dairy Payroll Supervisor as needed.
- Provide support to Milk Supply Supervisor as needed.
- Provide support to Milk Supply Manager as needed.
- Assist in annual 1099-PATR process.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Associates degree in accounting or related field required.
- Aptitude for data management.
- Attention to detail and accuracy required.
- Financial analysis experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of milk quality, dairy payroll, and on-farm services strongly preferred.
- Experience with producer payroll software, customer relationship management systems and/or database reporting preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required; experience with Business Objects and SalesLogix preferred.
- Experience working in SAP preferred.
- Knowledge of organic agriculture preferred.
- Understanding of dairy industry trends and practical dairy & livestock experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience with producer payroll software, customer relationship management systems and/or database reporting preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills required.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
