Summary of Role
The Director of Contract Manufacturing is responsible for building relationships throughout the Dairy Industry – allowing CROPP to build upon its model of co-manufacturing. This role is responsible for directing negotiations, co-processing efficiencies and contractual discussions.
This position directs the vendor relationships at the co-processing facilities, sale of bulk milk on conventional dairy market and setting direction of strategy for bulk milk sales to CROPP’s partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Direct strategy for bulk milk partners
Manage relationships with fluid dairy processing plant partners
Actively seek new and leverage existing relationships in the fluid dairy industry to sell bulk loads of milk, both on organic and conventional market.
Negotiate contractual agreements with customers and co-processors.
Work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Transportation Management Services to ensure mutual goals are established, reviewed and achieved.
Communicates performance expectations by evaluating performance, providing timely feedback, training and coaching, and recommending personnel actions for assigned staff.
Ensures compliance with policies, safety procedures, and fair employment practices.
Handles confidential information with discretion.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Conventional sales of excess, under-grade or by products.
Responsible for adherence to product quality and organic standards.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Dairy Plant Management Experience required.
Understanding of dairy supply chain required.
Strong verbal, written and analytical communication skills required.
Negotiation skills required.
Experience with co-processing relationship development required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think “outside of the box”.
Strong computer skills required, particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel required.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion is required.
Salary : $124,000 - $172,000
