Position Summary

This production position works toward the manufacturing of superior area rugs by incorporating quality principles, lean principles and meeting delivery goals. It is expected that all associates will honor and obey all safety rules, policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities- Essential

• Operate industrial sewing machines.
• Operate air scissors to cut rugs.
• Apply labels and roll rugs.
• Separate jute and woven straps.
• Operate fringer and bagging machine.
• Tape rugs and stack rugs on rack.
• Operate hand pallet jack.

Position Responsibilities- Non-Essential/Other

• Additional duties as needed and assigned
• Works overtime as required

Essential Skills and Experience

• Must be able to read and write.
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must have good manual dexterity; hand & eye coordination.
• Ability to implement procedures and work effectively with others.
• Knowledge of operational characteristics of mechanical equipment and tools used in the area of work assigned.
• Knowledge of and adherence to occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
• Personal attributes that include strong ethical standards, reliability, professionalism, ability to work independently, positive attitude, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Experienced in meeting and exceeding safety, quality and productivity goals.

Beneficial Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions/general production information written and communicated in English.
