Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Meets or exceed established sales goals set by the Fun Express Division
- Manages key customers (typically accounts or customer groups with over $5,000 in annual revenue) that may consist of multiple buying entities primarily over the phone (95%) with occasional travel and trade shows (5%)
- Achieves a high level of phone and email activity
- Prospects for new opportunities ($5,000 ) by calling and following up on sales leads generated through marketing channels and/or industry partnerships
- Provides reporting on weekly/monthly basis to include but not limited to: Revenue Pipeline/Forecast, Prospect Opportunities, Account Reviews, and Activity Reports.
- Plays a key role in negotiations, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to secure favorable terms, resolve conflicts, and drive mutually beneficial agreements
- Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors as well as online meeting platforms like Microsoft Teams
- Assists customers in the resolution of problems and provides documentation for support team to ensure on-going adherence to processes that drive customer satisfaction
- Acts as the primary point person for industry marketplaces and technology connections that support customer purchase transactions.
- Oversee client specific sales strategies that require interaction with other areas of the company (product development and/or outside vendors).
- Assists in the marketing strategy for trade shows; involved in constructing and set up/break down of the booth at trade shows as needed.
- Attend Trade Shows as needed. Conduct follow-up after trade shows for all customer and new prospect needs.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of competition, pricing, strategies, handling of customer needs and problem resolution
- Develop and maintain knowledge of competition’s primary products and markets to analyze impacts on Fun Express’ business in competitive markets
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
- Abides by all policies and procedures of Fun Express and Oriental Trading Company
- Attends company functions, meetings, seminars, etc. which may not impact their own customer base directly but will have a positive impact on the company as whole
- Documents sales efforts for current customers, prospects and sales campaigns through standardized forms, reports and systems
- Performs other related duties and projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Education or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years Sales, Account Management or presentation experience required
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
- Strong telephone prospecting and appointment setting skills/experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and CRM software
- Ability to work effectively in the office or while traveling
- Ability to utilize strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to handle customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to work extra hours when needed
- Ability to perform job duties in a safe manner
