What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Estimator position at Origin Construction?
Description
- Lead estimating efforts for all incoming RFP's
- Compilation of vendor bid lists specific for each project
- Distribution of plans and collection of subcontractor bids
- Management of online bidding software and project updates
- Coordination with Project Managers and Division Leaders on qualifications & leveling of vendor bids
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors
- Assist in the development of pre-construction deliverables (RFI's, Response to RFP, schedules, etc.)
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial estimating in South Florida market (7 years preferred)
- Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Excel required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project preferred
- The ability to work under pressure to meet set goals, budgets and deadlines
- The ability to manage time well and multitask
- Thorough understanding of the commercial construction processes
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
